An adventure vacation is enticing to those that live in highly congested, noisy cities around the world. Imaging lying on the beach basking in the sun for a few days without worries. Most people choose to go to a peaceful place if they get a chance. Those that want the ultimate rush of adrenaline go to Daytona Beach, Florida. Home to thousands of people seeking the adventure trip of a lifetime Daytona Beach is one of the most famous beaches in the world.

Daytona Beach is a rather famous city in Volusia County, Florida and is home to some of the best universities in the country such as the Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University and Bethune-Cookman College. With the classic Daytona Beach Road Course and Daytona International Speedway hosting numerous high profile races for over a century now Daytona is best know for its motor sports.

Large groups of tourist descend on the city for the various racing events especially early February's Speed weeks making Daytona a seasonal town. The natural charm is another reason that people visit in addition to the racing events. Tourists come back every year because the people that live there are hospitable and friendly. Spring breakers used to go to the beach everyday but do the shortage of services offered due to the overwhelming demand some would opt for Panama City.

There are still over eight million tourists are going to the city and the beaches every year, then there are the businesses such as the hotels, motels and condos all along the beach. There is a large price range thanks to competition since hotels and motels are normally completely booked expect for special events when they manage to increase the room for guests. There is a high level of security for the main hotels in Daytona Beach; some film both the hotel and the beaches with multiple cameras.

It is one of the few places in the world where a car can be driven on the beach. A 4-wheel drive or other specialized equipment is required on the majority of beaches. Around the forth of July is the "Pepsi 400 NASCAR" otherwise known as the "Firecracker 400" , "Bike Week Daytona 200" which is a motorcycle race held in March, October's "Biketoberfest" are among the races that make adventure vacation in Daytona Beach the ultimate experience along with a number of other races.

The car show and a number of other events during the weekend of Thanksgiving make it a great place for college students to go.
